Joel Sams Obituary, Death; – Joel Sams, a 40-year-old resident of Lewiston, tragically lost his life in a car accident that occurred on Monday morning south of Moscow.
His identity was confirmed through a death notice issued by Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 95, near Eid Road, as reported by the Idaho State Police Department.
According to law enforcement, the driver of a blue 2001 Ford Focus was heading north when he encountered stopped traffic due to construction. In an attempt to navigate the situation, the vehicle swerved, collided with the side of a white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, and subsequently veered off the right shoulder, descending down an embankment.
It appears that the driver of the Ford Focus was not wearing a seat belt and suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
