Judith Morse Obituary, Death; – The Elmira Police Department has released new information identifying the victim of a tragic vehicle and pedestrian accident in Elmira.
Judith Morse, an 80-year-old resident of Horseheads, has been confirmed as one of the two individuals struck by a vehicle while crossing Clemens Center Parkway in the designated crosswalk on Wednesday, November 20, between Water Street and East Market Street. Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where Morse succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, November 21. The second individual involved in the incident remains hospitalized as of Monday, November 25, and is undergoing further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene following the accident and has been cooperative with law enforcement. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this point, as stated by the Elmira Police Department.
