Marlan Smith Obituary, Death; – St. Petersburg law enforcement is actively pursuing a suspect believed to have fatally shot a man on Thursday evening. An arrest warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Anthony Jamal Wright, who is charged with second-degree murder.
As reported by the St. Petersburg Police Department, Wright is accused of shooting and killing 34-year-old Marlan Smith outside Three Brothers Market at approximately 7:10 p.m. Detectives have identified Wright as the individual responsible for the shooting and are urging anyone with information regarding his location to reach out to the police at 727-893-7780 or to send a text message with the tip to SPPD followed by TIP411.
