Kevin Cortez Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who succumbed to gunshot wounds in September as 26-year-old Kevin Cortez from Bakersfield.
According to the report, Cortez was shot in the early hours of September 22, 2024, in the 700 block of McClean Avenue. He was subsequently transported to Kern Medical, where he later passed away. An autopsy is scheduled to ascertain the cause and manner of his death.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established in Cortez’s memory, stating, “Kevin was an extraordinary person who held a profound affection for his family and friends. He is survived by his partner Melinda, his mother, five sisters, and three brothers, as well as numerous close friends who cherished and loved him.”
