Monroe S Wessler Jr Obituary, Death; – Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials report that a pedestrian was fatally injured on Wednesday, November 20, after being hit by a vehicle on Alabama Highway 5. The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m.
According to authorities, a 2010 Toyota Prius, operated by 41-year-old Justin M. Dodd from Tuscaloosa, collided with 65-year-old Monroe S. Wessler Jr. of Cordova. It has been stated that Wessler was in the roadway at the time of the collision. He was declared deceased at the scene.
The accident took place on Alabama Highway 5 near mile marker 161, roughly three miles north of Dora in Walker County. Troopers have indicated that no further information is available at this moment. The investigation by ALEA is ongoing.
