Lynnette Aguilar Obituary, Death; – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a street in Long Beach, as reported by police on Thursday. Authorities were dispatched to the intersection of Centralia Street and Bellflower Boulevard at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a woman in the roadway receiving medical assistance from fire department personnel, as stated by the police. Lynnette Aguilar, a 52-year-old resident of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police reports.
Initial investigations indicated that a 65-year-old resident of Lakewood was traveling northbound on Bellflower Boulevard in a 2014 Jeep Patriot when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Preliminary findings suggested that neither speed nor distracted or impaired driving played a role in the incident.
