Trevor Wilkins Obituary, – A tragic accident resulted in a fatality, and a man has been taken into custody for driving under the influence, leading to death in Shelby County on Wednesday morning.
At 8:12 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a deadly collision on Morristown Road, located just north of Rafferty Road. Preliminary investigations suggest that a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck, traveling northbound, veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2003 Honda passenger vehicle.
The driver of the Honda was declared deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim will be disclosed by the Shelby County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Dodge Ram has been identified as 28-year-old Trevor Wilkins, who has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence resulting in death. The investigation into this incident remains active, and no additional information has been provided at this time.
