Mangal Rai Obituary, Death; – The Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Cumberland County on Saturday morning.
Mangal Rai, a 28-year-old resident of Shippensburg, has been named in a report by the Pennsylvania State Police as the individual involved in the single-vehicle crash, which took place at approximately 6:45 a.m. on the interchange ramp connecting I-81 southbound to Route 581 eastbound.
As per the police report, Rai failed to adequately navigate the left curve of the roadway, resulting in his motorcycle veering onto the right shoulder and colliding with a metal guardrail while riding his 2023 Kawasaki Ninja.
State police have stated that Rai was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The incident led to the closure of the interchange on Saturday morning.
