Waleed M Shaban Obituary, Death; – Authorities are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a man who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a restaurant in Independence, Missouri, on Saturday night.
As reported by the Independence Police Department (IPD), officers were dispatched to the Twin Peaks Restaurant on East Jackson Drive around 11 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting incident.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officials located a man in the parking lot who had sustained a gunshot wound. In a related incident, a car chase involving law enforcement resulted in one individual being injured in Kansas City.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. The IPD has indicated that a person of interest was apprehended at the scene, assuring the public that there was no ongoing threat. The case is currently under investigation by the IPD Criminal Investigations Unit.
