Ross Lewis,Kyle Arnold Obituary, Death; – A man from northeast Nebraska has altered his plea regarding an Omaha accident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

Maison King, 26, from Oakland, Nebraska, entered a “no contest” plea to two counts of motor vehicle homicide and one count of DUI resulting in serious bodily injury. He appeared in Douglas County Court on Friday following his arrest and charges filed in April. King is scheduled for sentencing on January 8, 2025.

He faces a maximum of 20 years for each count of motor vehicle homicide. Additionally, for the DUI charge causing serious bodily injury, he could receive up to three years in prison and/or a fine of $10,000, according to court documents.

Omaha Police responded to an injury accident on Interstate 80 just beyond 24th Street in April 2024. An arrest affidavit claims that King was driving a 2021 Kia Sportage in the wrong direction when he collided nearly head-on with a 2017 Ford Fusion.
Ross Lewis, a 26-year-old passenger in the Ford from Wilber, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene, as was the driver, Kyle Arnold, 30, from Omaha.

Another passenger in the Ford sustained critical injuries and was hospitalized, while a third passenger suffered serious chest injuries but did not require hospitalization. King was the sole occupant of the Kia and was also taken to the hospital, where a preliminary test indicated a blood alcohol level of .175, which is more than twice the legal limit. Following his court appearance, his bond was set at $50,000.
