Gregory Paul Mallett Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a pedestrian who was tragically hit and killed on Wednesday night in Birmingham. On Friday, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the victim was Gregory Paul Mallett, a 60-year-old resident of Birmingham.
According to officials, Mallett was walking in the 400 block of Daniel Payne Drive at 7:16 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stopped, contacted 911, and stayed at the scene until law enforcement arrived. Mallett was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:21 p.m.
