Cansheng Zhao,Bolin Zhao Obituary, Death; – The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identities of the two individuals who succumbed to a carbon monoxide leak in Freedom two weeks prior. According to officials, Cansheng Zhao and Bolin Zhao, both aged 31 and residents of Brooklyn, New York, died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Following the arrival of first responders at the residence on Belfast Road on October 22, two additional individuals were transported to the hospital. Authorities have indicated that the leak was likely caused by a propane-fired boiler that was improperly vented. Although an illegal marijuana cultivation operation was discovered at the same location last May, the sheriff’s office has stated that the investigation found no evidence of criminal activity at the residence.
