Jesus Manuel Solis Obituary, Death; – The Weld County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the 19-year-old victim of a shooting that occurred in Greeley on Saturday evening.
As reported by the Greeley Police Department, officers responded to the 2000 block of 9th Avenue at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Saturday following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 19-year-old male who had sustained gunshot wounds lying in the street. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The coroner’s office identified the victim as Jesus Manuel Solis, a resident of Greeley.
According to the Adamson Life Celebration Home, Solis was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was pursuing a career in barbering at IBMC College. He had a passion for working on his truck, racing, playing video games, and cutting hair.
Solis is survived by his parents, four siblings, grandparents, and other relatives. During the investigation, Greeley police discovered a related vehicle crash near the scene of the shooting. Authorities believe that Solis and the suspect were acquainted, indicating that the shooting was not a random act.
