Christopher Waggett Obituary, Death: – A 47-year-old man from Butler, Christopher Waggett, was tragically shot and killed during what appears to be a domestic dispute on Monday evening, as reported by the Butler City Police Department.
Law enforcement responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of American Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Waggett on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was being assisted by bystanders until medical personnel arrived to provide further care. Despite their efforts, Waggett unfortunately did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators conducted interviews with witnesses and successfully located the suspect, 37-year-old Sean Williams, in the vicinity. Authorities established that the shooting occurred following a confrontation between Waggett and Williams, with no additional injuries reported. Williams has since been arrested and charged with criminal homicide.
Officials are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses video evidence to reach out to the Butler City police via the Butler County 911 center.
