Guadalupe Garcia Obituary, Death; – An 80-year-old woman who was involved in a car accident on October 20 succumbed to her injuries over the weekend.
The individual, named Guadalupe Garcia, was in the process of making a left turn in her Ford Focus shortly after 12:30 p.m., transitioning from eastbound Broadway to northbound Columbus Boulevard. She was struck by a Ford Escape operated by 22-year-old Huntre Blake Shepherd, who was traveling northbound on Columbus Boulevard, as reported by the Tucson Police Department.
Garcia was taken to Banner University Main, where she passed away from her injuries on Saturday, November 2. Shepherd also received medical attention for minor injuries.
According to the news release, neither driver was under the influence at the time of the incident. Shepherd was arrested on October 30 on charges of aggravated assault. With Garcia’s subsequent death, the case will now be forwarded to the Pima County Attorney’s Office.
