Jared Savant,Tanya Savant Obituary, Death; – The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently conducting an investigation into a recent helicopter crash that resulted in the tragic deaths of a man, a woman, and an infant.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Friday when a Robinson R44 helicopter went down in the 5000 block of Hecker Road in Iowa, Louisiana. Local law enforcement, firefighters, and the Louisiana State Police promptly responded to the scene. On Monday, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased victims as Jared Savant, 50; his wife, Tanya Savant, 35; and their 2-year-old child. The family resided in Kinder.
Sheriff Stitch Guillory expressed his condolences in a news release, stating, “This was a very tragic accident, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones affected.” He noted that deputies arrived promptly to initiate a preliminary investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration was summoned to examine the crash, and deputies remained on-site to assist until the FAA arrived and began their investigation, as well as clearing debris from the area.
Sheriff Guillory also expressed gratitude to the local community members who provided immediate assistance at the scene until first responders arrived and continued to help until the area was cleared. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation.
