Katherin Bellrock Obituary, Death; – The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident in Rockford.
On Wednesday, October 30, a passerby discovered an unresponsive woman lying on the ground adjacent to the sidewalk in the 1900 block of Charles Street. The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Katherin Bellrock. Medical personnel assessed her condition and determined that she could not be revived.
Subsequently, Bellrock was declared dead by the staff of the Coroner’s Office at 12:42 A.M. An autopsy indicated that her death resulted from blunt force trauma to the head, caused by a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, in conjunction with the Rockford Police Department, is actively pursuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bellrock’s death.
