Braylen Hardy Obituary, Death; – A 13-year-old victim of a hit-and-run incident in Ensley was identified on Thursday morning. According to the Birmingham Police Department, gunfire was reported in the vicinity of the 2400 block of Avenue D at approximately 6:45 p.m. on October 26.
A vehicle fleeing the scene subsequently collided with a teenager who was seated on an ATV on the 2800 block of Avenue E. The driver, whose identity remains unknown, attempted to flee on foot after the incident but was apprehended by law enforcement a short distance from the site of the collision.
The victim, identified as Braylen Hardy, aged 13, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital for medical care. Unfortunately, Hardy succumbed to his injuries at around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. The Birmingham police are actively investigating the details surrounding the incident.
