Timothy R Gillitzer Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who tragically lost his life on Saturday due to a fall from a boom truck at the Rock County 4-H Fairgrounds located on Craig Avenue in Janesville.

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department has identified the deceased as 59-year-old Timothy R. Gillitzer from Milton. The incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, and Gillitzer was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly thereafter. Preliminary forensic examination results indicate that he succumbed to injuries sustained in the fall.

Additionally, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 62-year-old woman from Janesville sustained injuries during the incident.

Both individuals were employees of Rock Energy and fell approximately 10 feet from an extended boom on the truck while demonstrating equipment. They were participating in an Employee Appreciation Day event organized by Rock Energy Cooperative.

The sheriff’s office has transferred the investigation to officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
