Vincent J Palmieri Obituary, Death; – On October 18, the Pennsylvania State Police reported a fatal accident in Wayne County. The victim has been identified as 69-year-old Vincent J. Palmieri from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Troopers were called to the scene at the intersection of Owego Turnpike Road and Schoolhouse Road in Cherry Ridge Township at approximately 2:45 p.m.
According to the authorities, Palmieri was traveling on Owego Turnpike Road when the vehicle ahead of him began to slow down to turn onto Schoolhouse Road. In an attempt to avoid a rear-end collision, Palmieri swerved into the opposite lane, but unfortunately collided head-on with another vehicle. This impact caused his vehicle to veer off the road, where it struck a street sign before coming to a stop.
Emergency responders later pronounced Palmieri deceased at the hospital. The occupants of the vehicle he collided with were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
