Richard Dupont Obituary, Death; – The individual who lost his life in the incident on River Road in Lisbon on October 14 has been identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as Richard Dupont, a 57-year-old resident of Jewett City.
According to Connecticut State Police, at approximately 10:28 p.m. on October 14, William Stonier, 36, from Ledyard, collided with Dupont while he was walking along the roadway. State Police reported that Dupont was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
Stonier faces charges for unlawfully carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, as well as for operating a vehicle illegally while impaired. He is set to appear in Norwich Superior Court on November 13 and has been released from custody after posting a $150,000 professional surety bond.
