Arthur Osborne Obituary, Death; – A 77-year-old woman has been charged with the fatal shooting of a man who allegedly made a joking request for her to shoot him, as reported by authorities.
Kathleen Geiger faces charges of reckless homicide following the incident in which she shot Arthur Osborne on Sunday. An affidavit indicates that Geiger “recklessly caused” Osborne’s death by firing a single shot to the pelvic area.
According to the police report, Geiger stated that she and Osborne were engaged in lighthearted conversation when he jokingly asked her to shoot him. She claimed that she believed her “firearm was empty,” aimed the weapon at Osborne, and pulled the trigger.
Law enforcement officials noted that she “eventually” rendered medical assistance and contacted emergency services. Geiger is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
