Randy McGuire Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Caldwell County on Sunday, Oct. 20, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Randy McGuire, 57, of Hudson, was identified as the victim; no charges will be filed. The collision happened around 9 p.m. along US 321 near Mission Road.
Troopers said a car traveling southbound on the freeway hit McGuire who was walking along the unlit road in dark clothes. McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was not injured. The investigation did not indicate impairment or speed as contributing factors.
