Shawn Spiker Obituary, Death; – Vermont State Police have disclosed the identities of individuals involved in a fatal shooting that occurred at a residence in Waterbury earlier this week, emphasizing that the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities reported that they received a call regarding the incident at the Kneeland Flats Trailer Park around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, where they discovered the victims. The deceased has been identified as Shawn Spiker, a 34-year-old from Croydon, New Hampshire. According to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, he succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, with the death classified as a homicide.

Another man sustained critical injuries and was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, where he remains in critical condition. He has been identified as a resident of Barre City. Police indicated that the two men were acquaintances, and Spiker had been residing in Vermont for a brief period.

Currently, no individuals are in custody, and state police are actively seeking to identify a suspect. Those with any information are encouraged to contact the VSP’s Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191.
