Moira Bossard Obituary, Death; – A woman who was reported missing after heading to an emergency hurricane shelter has been discovered deceased in her vehicle, as stated by authorities. Moira Bossard, aged 80, was located on Sunday within her car, which was found submerged in water in Pasco County, Florida, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Initially, the sheriff’s office had issued a missing endangered alert for Bossard, who was last seen on October 8 while walking towards a hurricane shelter in Spring Hill, Florida, prior to the landfall of Hurricane Milton. Despite searches, Bossard was not located at her residence or the shelter, and there was no record of her having checked in.
Neighbors reported that Bossard appeared “confused” before her departure to the shelter and mentioned plans of “driving to Tennessee to be with her family,” yet she was not with any relatives in Tennessee. “The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, along with Sheriff Al Nienhuis, extends our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Bossard’s family, friends, and loved ones,” the sheriff’s office conveyed on Facebook.
