Victor Ricks Obituary, Death; – A man from Lawrenceville is currently facing multiple charges related to a murder investigation that took place over the weekend in Gwinnett County. According to Gwinnett County Police, 57-year-old Hugh Forman has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and first-degree cruelty to children.
These charges arise from a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of an extended stay hotel located on the 4300 block of Stone Mountain Highway on Friday, October 11. Officers were dispatched to the scene following a 911 call reporting a shooting in the rear parking area of the establishment. Upon arrival, they found a male, later identified as 60-year-old Victor Ricks, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Ricks was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and determined that Ricks was allegedly shot by Forman. Preliminary information suggests that the two men were acquainted, but additional details are not being disclosed as the investigation is ongoing.
