Angel Samaniego Obituary, Death; – A 59-year-old man from the city was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound at the Super 8 Hotel located on the West Side on Monday morning, according to police reports. The Stamford police have identified the individual as Angel Samaniego.
Officers responded to the hotel at 32 Grenhardt Road at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Monday following a report of a shooting, as stated by Capt. Thomas Scanlon in a news release. Upon arrival, law enforcement found Samaniego, who had suffered a gunshot wound. Medical personnel subsequently pronounced him dead at the scene. Capt. Scanlon indicated that the investigation into this homicide remains “active and ongoing.” Authorities have not disclosed any additional information regarding the incident.
