Gerald S Yashinsky Jr Obituary, Death;- A 51-year-old man passed away on Monday night after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. near the intersection of Haddonfield Road and Yale Avenue, where the man, identified as Gerald S. Yashinsky Jr. from Cherry Hill, was hit by a northbound vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived promptly and rendered medical assistance; however, the pedestrian was subsequently pronounced dead. The police have extended their condolences to the family of the victim as the investigation is ongoing.

The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement. No further injuries have been reported. Haddonfield Road was closed in both directions to allow the Cherry Hill Police Traffic Safety Unit to carry out its investigation at the scene.

The investigation is being led by the Traffic Safety Unit of the Cherry Hill Police Department, with support from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Office of the Medical Examiner.
