Dylan Straughn Obituary, Death; – A 29-year-old man is facing charges related to a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old student from Moeller High School.

Dylan Straughn, aged 15, passed away on October 7, two days after being struck while apparently riding his bicycle in the vicinity of Colerain and Daly roads, as reported by Colerain Township police.
Earlier this week, a Hamilton County grand jury indicted Jehoshua Spence on a felony charge for failing to stop after a collision, as well as a misdemeanor charge for driving under a suspension or cancellation of financial responsibility (due to lacking auto insurance).
According to a spokeswoman for the township, police located the vehicle involved in the incident nearly 24 hours later and identified the driver; however, his name was not disclosed until the indictment was made public on Monday.
Spence was processed at the Hamilton County Justice Center on Monday night and is being held without bond. During his arraignment on Wednesday morning, he entered a plea of not guilty.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Chief Magistrate Anita Berding established his bond at $10,000 with a 10% requirement, as indicated in court records.
This stipulates that he is required to pay only $1,000 for his release.
The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher Wagner and is scheduled for a conference on December 19.
