Malachi Albino Obituary, Death; – The Wilmington Police Department has released the name of the pedestrian who died after being struck last week in the city.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of West 4th Street and North Scott Street. Officers with the Wilmington Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and located 18-year-old Malachi Albino suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the department’s Special Operations Division/Traffic Unit. No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the crash have been released.
