Mark B Thompson,David E Thompson Obituary, Death;- A man from Connecticut was one of two individuals who lost their lives in a double homicide at a cabin in New York on Sunday.
According to New York State Police, state troopers arrived at a cabin located on Botsford Hollow Road in Allen, New York, shortly after 10 p.m. following reports of a disturbance, where they discovered two deceased individuals inside.
The victims were identified by state police as 70-year-old Mark B. Thompson from Canterbury, Connecticut, and 69-year-old David E. Thompson from Port Charlotte, Florida.
The investigation revealed that three brothers were staying together in the hunting cabin when a physical altercation ensued, prompting one of them to call 911. State police alleged that 65-year-old Scot D. Thompson from Englewood, Florida, shot both of his brothers with a rifle and subsequently fled the scene in one of their vehicles.
The vehicle details were communicated to local law enforcement, leading to its discovery by members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Geneseo Police Department, who apprehended Scot Thompson, as stated by state police. He was then transferred to troopers and charged on Monday with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
Scot Thompson is currently being held in custody awaiting an arraignment hearing.
