Kyle Dolcee Arrested; – A pedestrian was struck and fatally injured early Tuesday morning on the overpass of Travis Boulevard and Interstate 80 in Fairfield, as reported by the police.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes close to the eastbound I-80 off-ramp.
Upon the arrival of officers at the location, the pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene.
According to Fairfield police, the department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was dispatched and closed off Travis Boulevard and the freeway off-ramp for several hours to gather evidence.
The driver involved has been identified as 35-year-old Kyle Dolcee, a resident of Fairfield, who was arrested and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been disclosed pending the notification of next of kin.
