George Sandborn Obituary, Death; – The Arkansas State Police have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday.
On November 15, 82-year-old George Sandborn, a resident of Russellville, was struck and killed in Pope County.
Troopers arrived at approximately 6:45 p.m. in response to reports of a pedestrian being hit on State Highway 326 in the Happy Valley area, situated north of Russellville, close to the Gum Log community.
Sandborn was transported by air to UAMS, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at 5 a.m. on November 16.
The vehicle involved in the incident is thought to have been traveling westbound on State Highway 326 and may have incurred damage to the driver’s side. Investigators from the Arkansas State Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the vehicle and its driver.
