David Popielarczyk Obituary, Death;- A man has been charged with the murder of his father in Farmington, according to police reports.
Authorities have identified the suspect as 31-year-old Joshua Popielarczyk. They stated that on November 14, they responded to a residence on Birch Street regarding a death under suspicious circumstances.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 62-year-old man in the living room exhibiting what seemed to be multiple traumatic injuries. The injuries were subsequently confirmed to be stab wounds.
The deceased, identified as David Popielarczyk, was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators from Farmington, with assistance from state and Avon police, concluded that the death was a homicide.
Joshua Popielarczyk, the son of the victim, was apprehended and charged with murder.
He has been assigned a court date for Monday in Torrington.
