Carlos Mendez Obituary, Death;  A 57-year-old man, who was hit by an SUV while crossing the street last month, has succumbed to his injuries, as reported by the Arlington Police Department.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased as Carlos Mendez, 57, who passed away in the operating room on November 7 due to complications arising from blunt force trauma.

The collision occurred on Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m. Officers were called to the 5900 block of Kelly Elliott Road, where they discovered a severely injured man who had been struck by a sport utility vehicle.

Investigators concluded that the SUV’s driver was executing a turn on a green light when the vehicle collided with Mendez as he entered the designated crosswalk. Police indicated that although Mendez was in a marked crosswalk, it remains unclear if he entered it in accordance with a traffic signal.

The SUV driver promptly halted, stayed at the scene, and cooperated with the investigation, according to police. No criminal charges have been filed related to this incident.
