Annette L Gorr Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian lost her life after being struck by three vehicles while traversing the northbound lane of Highway 97 on Saturday evening.

The deceased woman has been identified as Annette L. Gorr, 64, from Brewster, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.

According to the State Patrol, the reason for Gorr’s presence on the highway remains unclear. The incident is currently under investigation as a fatal hit-and-run, with drugs or alcohol suspected to have played a role in the occurrence.

Brewster was in the northbound lane of the highway when an Omak resident driving a 2011 GMC Acadia noticed her on the road and attempted to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, she was hit by the SUV, which subsequently came to a stop on the right shoulder.

Another vehicle then collided with the woman and did not stop. Brewster was subsequently struck by yet another vehicle traveling north.

The driver of this vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Easton operating a 2011 Kia Soul, continued north on the highway but was later apprehended by law enforcement.

The Kia was confiscated as evidence and transported to the WSP bullpen in Okanogan.
