Jarvis Phillips-Willis Obituary, Death; – On November 3, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the individual who lost their life in a triple shooting on November 1 as 19-year-old Jarvis Phillips-Willis, a resident of Milwaukee.

Phillips-Willis was discovered on the 4600 block of West Fond du Lac Avenue and subsequently transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, where he succumbed to his injuries in the operating room, as reported by the medical examiner’s office.

Milwaukee police stated that the shooting occurred at approximately 11:22 p.m. on the 4800 block of West Fond du Lac Avenue, just south of West Capitol Drive, within the Roosevelt Grove neighborhood.

In connection with the incident, two 17-year-olds received treatment at a hospital for non-fatal gunshot wounds, according to police reports.

Authorities indicated that the investigation is still active, although it appears that the shooting may have originated from a confrontation. The police are actively searching for an unidentified suspect and urge anyone with information to reach out to the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7360. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or via the P3 Tips app.

Data from the police indicates that Milwaukee has experienced a reduction in overall crime this year compared to the same period last year, although there has been a slight uptick in homicides.

Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman remarked during a news conference on October 10 that many of the shootings in Milwaukee are a result of inadequate conflict resolution. Historical data from the police reveals that arguments or fights escalating contributed to approximately 29% of all homicides in the city since 2020.
