Kyris Brassell Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old individual has been apprehended in relation to a shooting that resulted in the death of one teenager and the injury of another in Gallatin last week, according to officials.
As reported by the Gallatin Police Department, officers were dispatched to a shooting incident in the 100 block of Drivers Lane at around 4 a.m. on Thursday, October 23.
Upon their arrival at the location, officers allegedly discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities indicated that life-saving measures were administered until medical personnel arrived to transport the victims to local hospitals for further treatment.
One of the victims, identified as 19-year-old Kyris Brassell, succumbed to his injuries, as stated by the GPD. In contrast, the second victim, who has only been identified as an 18-year-old, has since been discharged from the hospital.
A week following the shooting, Gallatin police reported that 18-year-old Monte’Vious Bost had been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The GPD has stated that more information will be provided as it becomes available.
