A city resident was apprehended on Wednesday in relation to a collision that occurred on Pershing Drive last month, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old, according to police reports.

Authorities have previously identified the deceased individual in the single-vehicle accident as Adonis Lapuppet-Bligen. According to police, the man lost his life after colliding with a utility pole.

Lynch stated that investigators concluded Saravia was operating his own vehicle and was closely tailing Lapuppet-Bligen just prior to the incident. He mentioned that investigators discovered the vehicles were traveling at approximately 80 mph, but they could not confirm that the two men were engaged in a race.

Lynch indicated that an autopsy revealed the cause of Lapuppet-Bligen’s death to be blunt force trauma, with the manner of death classified as an accident. He also pointed out that a toxicology report indicated Lapuppet-Bligen had a blood-alcohol content of 0.089, which is deemed intoxicated in the state of Connecticut.

Saravia posted a bond of $75,000 following his arrest, Lynch reported, and he is set to appear for arraignment at the state Superior Court in Derby on November 12.
