Diego Nava Torres,Samantha Ortiz Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate-88 near Mitchell Road in North Aurora on Saturday night.
The victims were 32-year-old Diego Nava Torres and 33-year-old Samantha Ortiz, both residents of Chicago, as reported by the Kane County Coroner’s Office.
The incident took place on I-88 westbound near milepost 118 shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.
Both individuals were declared dead at the scene of the accident.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is currently underway.
According to the Illinois State Police, two lanes of traffic were closed as a result of the accident but have since been reopened.
