Lauren Craven Obituary, Death;- The San Diego Fire Rescue Department reports that the accident occurred late last night in the vicinity of Waring Road. A SIG alert has been issued for the region, and traffic is being redirected at Mission Gorge Road and Fairmount Avenue.
As per the CHP, a driver lost control of their vehicle, resulting in an overturn. This vehicle was subsequently hit by another car. A La Mesa Police officer arrived at the scene, exited her patrol vehicle, and was then struck by a different vehicle.
The officer has been identified as 25-year-old Lauren Craven, who became a member of the department last year. Several injuries have been reported, and eastbound traffic is being rerouted to the southbound 15.
