Edgar Flores Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision near Lake Mathews was identified on Monday as a 48-year-old man from Perris.

Edgar Flores sustained fatal injuries shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday while traveling on Cajalco Road, situated between Eagle Canyon Road and La Sierra Avenue, to the south of the lake, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.

According to the agency, Flores was riding his motorcycle eastbound at an unspecified speed when his bike collided with a sedan, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

Flores was thrown down an embankment.

The driver of the sedan, who reportedly did not sustain any injuries, stopped following the collision.

Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department declared Flores deceased at the scene less than 15 minutes later.

Officers partially closed Cajalco Road while a preliminary investigation was carried out and the debris was cleared, a process that took several hours.

Officers interviewed the motorist, whose identity has not been disclosed, but there has been no indication of any wrongdoing on his part in relation to the accident.
