Mark Peters Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following an industrial accident at a scrap yard located in Westport.
As reported by the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, first responders were summoned to Mid City Scrap, situated at 548 State Road, for a medical emergency on Friday at approximately 11:10 a.m.
Upon their arrival, first responders found 49-year-old Mark Peters from Taunton, MA, suffering from a crushing injury to his lower limbs.
Peters was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead shortly thereafter.
Westport Police, Massachusetts State Police, and an OSHA Safety and Health Officer were all present at the scene.
The investigation into this incident is currently ongoing; however, it does not seem to be of a suspicious nature.
