Edith Obeng Obituary, Death; – A woman lost her life in a collision in Florence, Kentucky, on Friday evening, as reported by the Florence Police Department.
At 7:56 p.m., law enforcement officers arrived at the location on Turfway Road, situated west of Drexel Avenue. A vehicle had struck a pedestrian in the right westbound lane. A Chevy Cruze was proceeding westbound in the right lane when the pedestrian attempted to cross the street. The car hit the woman before halting and remaining at the scene.
Florence EMS transported the pedestrian to St. Elizabeth Florence, where she was declared dead due to her injuries. She has been identified as Edith Obeng, aged 53.
The driver of the Chevy Cruze sustained no injuries in the incident and has been cooperative with the ongoing investigation. The Florence Police Department indicated that they do not expect to file criminal charges against the driver.
