Thania Fuenmayor Obituary, Death; – A woman has been identified after being found severely injured outside her car in a Bradenton neighborhood on Sunday night, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

According to the Bradenton Police Department, Thania Fuenmayor, 44, from Oneco, was discovered on the ground around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday when officers arrived in response to a report of a traffic accident near the 2100 block of Eighth Avenue East in Bradenton.

“They discovered a woman with significant and serious injuries that were clearly inconsistent with a traffic accident,” stated police spokeswoman Meredith Censullo in an interview with ABC7 on Monday. “Her injuries were so severe that she unfortunately passed away at the scene.”

Censullo mentioned that homicide investigators have taken over the case.

The police withheld her identity until her family in Venezuela could be informed.

Esther Salters, a resident living just feet away from the location of the incident, reported to ABC7 that it was her nephew who called the police using her phone.

She indicated that she could not see anything from her window, prompting her to ask her nephew to take her outside.

Salters described the woman as rolling on the ground in agony. “I couldn’t do anything even if I walked over there; she was just rolling, rolling for her life,” Salters recounted.

Other residents voiced their shock at the incident. “Oh, so somebody killed her. Lord have mercy. That surprises us in this neighborhood,” remarked resident Johnny Pyle.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to reach out to Det. Jeff Beckley at jeff.beckley@bradentonpd.com.
