Michael Ellington Obituary, Death; – The Memphis Police Department (MPD) announced on Monday the apprehension of an individual who was sought in connection with the shooting deaths of his girlfriend and her brother earlier this year.

Lorenzo Cross, aged 29, became the third individual to be arrested regarding the fatalities of Jasmine and Michael Ellington, siblings who lost their lives due to gunfire at a residence located on Cleoford Avenue in Frayser, according to police reports.
Police have accused Cross of murdering the Ellingtons and injuring several other individuals. Their mother, a survivor of the incident, had previously informed FOX13 that she was hit multiple times by gunfire during that fateful night in late April.

Authorities stated that Cross faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder and eight counts of attempted first-degree murder. Two additional men — brothers La’Cameron and Martavious Jenkins — had been arrested earlier in connection with the shooting deaths. They were reportedly apprehended at a drug house in Marietta, Georgia.

A fourth suspect sought in relation to the murders, identified as Malik Merriweather, remains at large. Anyone possessing information regarding his location is encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
