KeLonte Stanley Obituary, Death; – A 29-year-old man from Aiken tragically lost his life on Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Wire Road, according to authorities.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 7:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of Wire Road, close to Uncle Duck Road, where they discovered a 1994 Acura sedan that had overturned after departing from the roadway. Investigators reported that the vehicle was traveling northbound when it strayed off the road and rolled over, resulting in the driver being ejected.
The driver, identified as Ke’Lonte Stanley, was declared dead at the scene at 7:45 a.m. due to injuries sustained in the incident, as stated by Chief Deputy Coroner Eric J. Ramey. This accident occurred just a week after the victim expressed gratitude on Facebook to the individual who sold him his car, stating, “You sold me a solid car. I get love everywhere in the Legend.”
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is collaborating with the Aiken County Coroner’s Office in the ongoing investigation. A toxicology report is forthcoming, and no further details have been disclosed at this moment.
