Jessica A White Obituary, Death; – A woman from Las Vegas lost her life on Highway 283, located two miles east of George, on Sunday when another motorist crossed the center line and collided head-on with her Jeep Cherokee using his Chevrolet pickup.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Jessica A. White, aged 48.
Three additional individuals sustained injuries in the accident. The pickup driver has been identified as a 71-year-old man from Grapeview.
This man was transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Two passengers in the Jeep also suffered injuries. A 21-year-old man from Pasco was taken to Confluence Health in Moses Lake, while a 46-year-old man from Las Vegas was also taken to the hospital.
The incident was reported at 1:28 p.m. on September 21, near Milepost 1 of the highway, just north of Interstate 90.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver of the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup was traveling south on Highway 283, while the woman in the 2019 Jeep was heading north.
The pickup truck driver veered out of his lane and struck the Jeep. The truck came to a stop, obstructing the highway, while the Jeep was pushed onto the northbound shoulder.
An investigation into the crash was ongoing as of Sunday.
Both vehicles were completely destroyed. The Jeep was transported to the State Patrol vehicle bullpen in Ellensburg, and the pickup was taken to the WSP vehicle bullpen in Wenatchee.
