Kristen Avelar Obituary, Death; – Las Vegas police reported the discovery of a deceased woman inside a suitcase early Thursday morning. Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Spencer Street and East Reno Avenue at approximately 4:19 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a woman within a luggage bag situated near an apartment complex. Medical personnel confirmed that the woman was deceased. Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the case, the Homicide Section of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has taken over the investigation.
The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 46-year-old Kristen Avelar.
