Silvano Villa-Fierro Obituary, Death; – The individual charged with the murder of a Fresno father in 2023 has been declared guilty.
On Friday, a jury found Kelon White guilty of voluntary manslaughter. He faced additional charges of assault with a firearm and intimidation of a witness, but was acquitted of those allegations.
In July 2023, he fatally shot 46-year-old Silvano Villa-Fierro at an apartment located at the intersection of Clinton and Weber avenues in central Fresno. According to investigators, the two men engaged in a dispute prior to the fatal shooting.
White surrendered to authorities four days later. His criminal record extends back to 2010, and law enforcement identifies him as a known gang affiliate.
Sentencing is set for October 20. He is facing a potential 15-year prison term, along with additional time due to a firearm enhancement.
